Wildfire Spreads Beyond Politics and Non-Profits
Atlanta, GA – February 8th, 2010 – WeTheCitizens, the pioneer in social mobilization software, announced today that the company’s board of directors approved changing the company’s name to Mobilization Labs, LLC.
“Our name might be changing, but the Wildfire Platform is here to stay.” said Caleb Clark, Founder and CEO of Mobilization Labs. “Many of our clients are outside the political arena so this name more accurately reflects the transformation of our business over the last year. Our focus is on social mobilization. If you had one million supporters on Facebook or Twitter, we’d mobilize that network of people into action for your cause or brand.”
Mobilization Labs provides their solution to non-profits, political campaigns, corporations, movies, and musical artists. “We have ‘productized’ what political grassroot campaigns have been doing for years,” said Joe Hamm, VP of Marketing and Business Development. “Only now, any type of organization or corporation can leverage the power of traditional grassroots across social media.” After an organization mobilizes supporters into action, the technology tracks their progress across social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. “Lots of folks are throwing money at social media because its hot, but they’ll soon need to measure the return on those investments. We’re showing them hard ROI.”
