Hiring Top-Notch Developers
June 18th, 2010 by Jeremy Haile
We’re looking for great engineers.
Mobilization Labs is looking for great engineers to help us build the world’s most advanced social mobilization technology: Wildfire Platform. You’ll join a highly intelligent, hard-working team that lives on the cutting edge of Java development and will challenge you on a daily basis.
Think you’re up to the task?
As our ideal candidate, you know how to build a Java web application from end-to-end using a DI framework (like Spring) and a web MVC framework (like Spring MVC, JSF, or Struts 2). You know how to deploy and run it on Linux servers. You’re into agile methodology and you write unit/integration tests for your code.
You know SQL and have used MySQL or PostgreSQL extensively, as well as an ORM like Hibernate or JPA.
You’re comfortable doing front-end work, having used jQuery or another JavaScript library to do AJAX and DOM manipulation. And you’re a stickler for semantic markup and concise stylesheets.
You think about scalability before it becomes a problem, but don’t over-engineer things. You’ve used or at least investigated caching technologies like EhCache and perhaps looked into some NoSQL databases.
While you certainly know your stuff when it comes to Java, you’re also interested in other languages. You’ve played with Groovy or Scala, maybe even Clojure. You might have built an application with Grails or Lift, or done some work in Python, Ruby or PHP.
Want to know more about Mobilization Labs and social mobilization?
Since 2004, Mobilization Labs has been providing web software that pioneers an entirely new genre of technology called social mobilization. Social mobilization combines the viral power of social networking with real-world grassroots action to mobilize large teams of supporters into action on behalf of brands, causes, and political candidates. Our software has been used by presidential campaigns, Fortune 500 companies, international non-profits, major motion pictures, and multi-platinum artists to advance the passion of volunteers and fans worldwide.
We are looking for fast learners who want to help build a great product and have fun doing it. Sound like you? Email your resume, along with a cover letter, to Jeremy Haile (click name for email address).
